I only ever caught up with you at family affairs, you were always a real gentleman, always there to help others, you were so nice to chat with, and I know you loved and adored your children and your grandchildren, they will all miss you so much, but I know you will always be around them in spirit and in their hearts, until we all meet up in the big heaven.

So many good memories. You are the ultimate best mate. Always looking out for someone to help and just doing it without a fuss. Nothing was too hard for you. Something as simple as putting a pillow under the head of a mate who had a few too many. Always Lending a hand at every house move known to man. Those magnificent trailers you some how had a moments notice. Turned up to every touch football game just to watch his family. Storm wont be the same without you. You will be missed Mate.

Loved our 'father daughter walk and talks' and will think of you every time I go walking. Promise to find some new 'adventure tracks' down at Rye for you. Perhaps you will join me one day. Would love that.

Too many memories for this entry. Pope John XXXIII said words to this effect. See all, understand some, say little. To me this was Noel. He understood a lot, but let actions speak louder than words. As a person we all could not wish for a better friend. As a husband, he was committed. From the first day he met Loris that was it. We tried to explain to him she was Victorian, from another planet, different, she would take him from Queensland, but, nearly 40 years on he reckoned being married to Loris was better than living in Queensland. We still can't work it out. As a father, only his children could fully understand how precious a person like him could be. As a Grandfather he was so happy for his children when they had their children. As a son, May and Wally knew he was special. On the last night of his life, after May had fallen again because she wouldn't use her walker, I saw him look at her with such love and care it was palpable. He couldn't say anything except "Mum" in such a way, that you knew how much love this person had for his family, this will be an enduring memory.
All of us who knew Noel, will understand his family's pain in losing such a special person. To Loris, Travis, Vanessa, Merryn, May and Kevin, he is with Raymond, Peter, Wally and David and waiting for the big reunion. See you there. Go Storm.
